UPCOMING EXHIBTIONS

In partnership with Exibit Envoy, Breakthrough in Black:  is available as a portable exhibit designed for smaller museums and organizations. This exhibit features  framed reproductions of 30 movie posters ranging in size from 12″W x 16″H to 40″W x 60″H featuring well-known names like Oscar Micheaux, Paul Robeson, Lena Horne, Sidney Poitier, Dorothy Dandridge, Pearl Bailey, Cab Calloway, Bill Pickett, as well as many unsung actors, directors, and producers.

Coming Soon to Poster House NYC, curated by Es-pranza Humphrey, the Act Black exhibition provides a guide for viewers to consider how Black storytelling transferred and transformed from the stage to the screen. Moreover, these posters document the historical detail of innovative efforts by Black talent to represent life and experiences for Black audiences through their own creative perspectives.
